Unknown Microphotograph Maker "GLJ"

This as-yet unidentified maker of microphotograph slides identified him(?)self with the gothic-print initials "GLJ" (although they may be "CLJ" or "ELJ"). Known labels are either gray with the subject title in script font, yellow with block font, or with a handwritten description.

It has been suggested that GLJ was George Jackson (1792-1861), since Jackson is known to have produced microphotograph slides of his colleagues in the Microscopical Society of London/Royal Microscopical Society. However, there are no records to indicate that Jackson had a middle name, or commercially produced microphotograph slides.

Any information on this maker’s identity, or other examples of GLJ’s work, will be greatly appreciated.
